#greetthegrower #meetthegrower day 3: flatlay. This was a really good year for butternut squash in the garden. C. moschata doesn’t cross with any of the other squash species so I could safely save seed. I carefully picked the best fruits from the best plants and kept them over the winter to make sure they kept well. I finally opened up the first one. No seeds. Nor in the second one either. Or any of them. Not a single one had set seed.
